Always Good Bins was started at the beginning of 2019 by Michael and Ashley Johnson. Both Michael and Ashley have been successful entrepreneurs in Minnesota for many years now with Michael’s marketing business (www.michaelwj.com) and Ashley’s hair salon (Bloom Hair Boutique) even winning Entrepreneurs International’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2018.

WHY

When Michael gets asked how he came up with the idea to start Always Good Bins his simple answer is “Cuz my trash bins always stunk! And I hated cleaning them! And I never did a good enough job in my yard with just a garden hose and bleach! And I always thought ‘I wish I could just pay someone to do this…’”

In the fall of 2017 a friend and business partner in TX was talking about his two high school son’s lawn care business and how they were looking to add more services to what they do. Michael mentioned they should start cleaning people’s trash bins because he always wanted someone in his area that would do it and he knows how everybody hates how nasty they get, the flies and maggots they attract, the germs and the fact that nobody wants to do it. After a little more talking, Michael couldn’t get the idea out of his head and started doing some research on what it would take to make it happen. He found many companies with trash bin cleaning services around the US but no one in MN, so he thought “We should start this!”. Thinking of starting the business in early 2018, they decided it needed to be put on the back burner while another business of theirs was just getting off the ground. As 2018 wrapped up, they decided the timing was right and Always Good Bins was born!
